See the first chart has circles at the values then the area chart does not. I would like to know where the values are on the area chart. How do I enable the circle on the area chart?

The circles you are talking about are called "Anchors".
Could you please try setting the attribute "drawAnchors" to "1" in the <chart> element?
Also, please refer to the following link for further details on "Anchors" in a Multi-series Area2D chart.
