  2. Annotations and macros

    Hi Gagan, I do not completely agree with you. I do have a work around but the thing is that it is sensitive to changing the height of the chart. If in future someone went in to increase the height of the chart, then it will involve adjusting the formulae that I have in place currently. Just a quick snapshot of the server side code: "$xaxis.label." & iCounter & ".x", "$xaxis.label." & iCounter & ".y - " & baseoffset baseoffset value is 345. If i am using $xaxis.label.[number].y then I never get in to trouble. The only problem with this is if I need to increase the height of the chart, I will still need to adjust this value for the annotations on the top to show correctly. Is there no way that I can use a macro that will give me the desired result? Kind Regards, Bharat

    Hi There, There seems to be problem with using macros with annotations. If I set my chart with to 1000px then fusion chart will plot all the X Axis labels and the annotations will draw correctly. However, if the chart size is set to 700px then the annotations marked against the label hidden by fusion charts start to display at the far left hand. How do I fix it. I am using the chartEndY to ensure that I am able to increase the height of the chart without having to adjust the annotations position. I am not able to post the chart data - XML as forum does not support posting long data. Please get in touch to get the chart data Kind Regards, Bharat
  6. Hi There, Here is a sample chart design and I would like to know if I can create a chart similar to this design. I think that this is a stacked chart sharing common X Axis with one having Y Axis and the other purely using annotations without having any Y Axis values. I can create mock datasets if needed for the second one to be able to insert annotations. I know this is possible with other charting solutions but I need to know if this is possible with fusion charts. Please see the attached image. Kind Regards, Bharat
  7. Define plotting point for column chart

    Hi Moonmi, I looked at all the fiddle links listed as example charts on fusion Charts website already. This link that you sent does not solve my problem is that the Y Axis plotting point base is 0. I want it to start at my defined value(1) instead, irrespective of the higher/lower/negative values. Currently MS Charts allows you to shift the base Y Axis point by setting up a property known as Marker Step. Now using this property I can set the base Y Axis to start at my defined value and treat any value less then my defined value to be plotted from my defined marker point to the plot value. Fusion charts can start at non zero value as base point but is dependent on the lowest plot value. Now my requirement is slightly different here. I need the graph to use my own defined value to use as starting point. If you look at the Y Axis then you will find that the base Y Axis starts at 1. Please feel free to ask me more questions it I am being unclear. Let me know if this is possible? Thanks And Kind Regards, Bharat

    If you look at the y axis, you will see that the chart is plotted against non ZERO point. MS charts currently provides a way to define what they term as "marker step" property. We currently have almost all our charts converted fusion within a particular section of our product suite but we are having to use MS Charts for this scenario. Any help is greatly appreciated.   11. From what I understand about the fusion chart export: 1. Fusion charts creates the chart - client side using their clientside framework to generate SVG image output 2. This output is supplied back to the export handler to generate PNG/JPEG image My problem: I need to output image directly from server side without client side processing if the output needs to be directed as word document. Question: How can I generate the SVG output serverside to be consumed by the export handler Thanks in advance for your help/advise.

    Hi Swarnam, Thanks for the info. To be honest, I am still not fully convinced with the idea as there is an attribute within the data set element where one can define the minute details of where the data should be plotted. I do not fully understand the implications of having super data set wrapper (for my scenario) for data sets in the Stacked Column 2D Line Dual Y Combination Chart. I am sure that there would be a good reason to it, however I thought that there can be a default grouping based on data plot point axis. I may be wrong but this is just a thought as this is purely from my point of view. The only time this wrapper may be needed is when someone would want to explicitly tell how to group them.     got it to work. However there are some concerns about why is the implementation different from the mscombidy2d. This one needs the line data to be addressed differently and also the columns data to be wrapped into a single dataset super wrapper.
