viragshinde Report post Posted May 10, 2013 Hello Experts , I am still in the decision making phase of whether to buy fusion charts or not and have some queries regarding the charts that will be generated on the client machine. I understand that the chart will be rendered on the client browser in the form of SWF file which will be stored in the temporary directory of the system. I would like to know when and how would these temporary charts be deleted from the client system. Would i have to write separate logic for garbage collection to ensure timely removal of these charts form the client machine ? Thanks, VS
Guest Sashibhusan Report post Posted May 11, 2013 Hi, Welcome to FusionCharts Forum. You can remove a chart instance from page and memory by using FusionCharts JavaScript function "dispose()". The use of this "dispose()" function is fairly simple. You would just need to call the function as mentioned below: FusionCharts("myChartId").dispose(); For more information on "FusionCharts JavaScript API - Function > Dispose a chart", please follow the link below: http://docs.fusioncharts.com/charts/contents/?JavaScript/API/Methods.html Hope this helps!
