Is there a way to escape the animation before the final chart is shown?

I want do add an additional time dimention to my chart by animation. E.g. I will show a bar chart of inflation rates of 5 different countries. One bar stands for a country. The bars of the countries will go up and down during the animation to show the change in inflation rate of each country. What's the best way to achieve this?
