Angular Gauge: Changing The Fill Color Dynamicly W/jquery

I'm using the Fusion Charts JQuery plug-in to change the tick color and text color on my angular gauges. My configuration is in JSON format. But I see that it affects the root variables fund under the "chart" entry. What is the proper syntax to pass a new value to change the fill color under the annotations --> groups --> items section?
