Need Help For Making Compass

I'm trying to make a compass with "angular gauge" which shows the direction of wind. I couldn't find the way for hiding the major ticks and replacing them with N,S,W,E. Anyone can help for me for the solution ?

You would need to use annotations in order to suffice your requirement.

 

Annotations let you create your own custom objects (shapes, images, text etc.) in the charts. You can create various shapes like polygons, rectangles, circles, arcs etc, render annotation text at required positions and load external GIF/JPEG/PNG images or other Flash movies in the chart itself.
