  1. Datastreamurl Response Timeout

Hi, The timeout is actually decided by Flash Player in sync with the browser. We do not enforce a value of our own.
  2. We are delighted to announce that FusionCharts is now ready for your iPads and iPhones too. Starting v3.2, FusionCharts has HighCharts embedded within it, and offers both Flash and JavaScript (HTML5) charting . The Flash charts are displayed on a majority of devices and the JavaScript charts on devices that do not support Flash, all of it without writing a line of code. What's new in FusionCharts v3.2? Along with the JavaScript fallback, FusionCharts v3.2 also brings a lot of other powerful capabilities including: Smart Zoom & Pin chart: We have introduced the zoom line chart with a first-of-its type pinning feature that helps you compare non-adjacent data sets by overlaying them on one another. LinkedCharts: Create drill-down charts up to unlimited levels using a single data source without writing a line of additional code. Another first in the industry. JSON Data Support: In addition to XML, FusionCharts now supports JSON data format making it easily work with JavaScript libraries like jQuery and ExtJS. Pareto and Marimekko Charts: FusionCharts v3.2 also introduces the Pareto chart for showing everything 80-20 and the Marimekko chart for marketing analysis purposes. Charts with smarter labels, legends and tool-tips: FusionCharts offers smarter reporting features with with interactive legend, better label management and better printing support. Advanced Chart Programmability: An entirely re-designed JavaScript library to include compatibility for all browsers, advanced event management, extended APIs and a highly stable model. Learn more about everything new in FusionCharts v3.2 at New & simpler licensing model With FusionCharts v3.2, we have also introduced a new licensing model to keep it aligned with the changing business needs. It is much simpler as well - A website license is for a website; an Intranet license for Intranet and the like. Learn more about it here. For our existing customers, the same license that you bought still holds in place. That is, you still have the same license rights as mentioned in your license agreement at the time of purchase. For e.g., if you have a Professional license of FusionCharts v3.1.1 (or before), you are upgraded to FusionCharts v3.2 under the same terms as old Professional license. Priority Support & Upgrades Subscription To ensure constant support and upgrades, we have also introduced the FusionCharts Priority Support & Upgrades Subscription. When you subscribe to this, you get the following: Personalized support from our widely acclaimed technical support team in 24 working hours Free upgrades to all major and minor releases of the products for which you’ve bought subscription Access to custom charts and business demos that we release time to time Special promotions on purchase of additional FusionCharts products & licenses You can purchase the subscription here for new licenses, or buy subscription for the old licensing model (3.1.1 or earlier) here. Download and Upgrades You can download the no-restriction trial from FusionCharts Download or upgrade your existing version to v3.2 for free here. As always, we eagerly look forward to your feedback. Please do email them to us at support [at] Happy Charting!
  3. Tooltip Padding

The zoom chart doesn't support tool-tip customization via styles; nor does it support image. The zoom chart just shows the value of data points as tool-tips. Also, the colors are dependent on the dataset colors - this is intentional, as the mapping of tool-tip callout and dataset is important when there are multiple datasets.
  4. FusionCharts v3.2 Beta Impression

We've released an update to FusionCharts v3.2 beta which solves many of the problems mentioned in this thread. We would request you to please try the latest and let us know. Thanks again for your time.
  5. FusionCharts v3.2 Beta Impression

@gludington: What OS and browser version did you face it on?
  6. FusionCharts v3.2 Beta Impression

    >>what is the technical difference? You may find more on this at >> I'd tried to reproduce the html5 version on my local machine (in order to generate a customized chart), but I failed. As I said, perhaps I'd missed something. I would retry the steps with the updated version tomorrow. Can you please let us know what error you got? >> Some of the problems I had so far: 1. Scollable charts (e.g ScrollCombi2D.swf) are not working. Our HTML5 (javaScript) version doesn't have scroll support yet. So it'll fallback to normal chart in HTML5 rendering. >> If any attributes is duplicated, display would fail. (e.g. just try to duplicate numDivLines='3' in your demo and you will see 'No data to display' Do you mean you're providing the attribute twice in XML?
  7. Tom, Is the issue just happening on IE6 or IE8 as well?
  8. Hi Tom, Adobe has released another version of Flash Player 10.1 which fixes many of these issues. Can you please try using the same?
  9. Update: Adobe has released an update to Flash Player 10.1, which has fixed this problem in IE. We've tested and it works fine. For Firefox, you can use the managed printing feature introduced in v3.2,
  10. FusionCharts v3.2 Beta Impression

Hi Lee, We've just updated our beta to fix those. Can you please re-download from the link given to you? Please make sure to clear your browser cache. Even if you are viewing our live examples - please clear the same. We would love to hear if the issues were resolved.
  11. FusionCharts v3.2 Beta Impression

Hi, As for the errors, we're investigating the same and fixing it. We'll update on this forum once done. To answer your questions: 1) What is the actual difference between'> and in detail? Html5Basic shows Flash chart by default (on devices having Flash Player) and falls back to HTML5 (if no Flash is present). Html5 shows just the HTML5 sample. 2) Do you plan to configure HighCharts to look like FusionCharts (hci.js) or is there something like a swf-to-svg thing in background? We've already written the bridge that emulates HighCharts looks as close to FusionCharts (as possible within HighCharts framework) by running on FusionCharts XML/JSON data itself. 3) What kind of relationship with HighCharts do you have? I mean: Is that "you" but just another company? Must I pay an additional HighCharts license (if I need a FusionCharts one)? Or is that all "built-in"? No - we've an exclusive OEM license for HighCharts for distribution in FusionCharts. As such, you do NOT need to pay any additional cost at all! Your existing license covers the same. 4) Because I could not getting the "thing to work" locally (I'd grabbed the sources of the demo to a local server). Can you please detail what problem you faced? 5) Will other SWFs work? What is about your other products PowerCharts and Widgets - e.g. the "non-charts" Gauge-Graphs? We'll gradually add JavaScript(HTML5) fallback to PowerCharts and widgets. The gauges will take some time. >> About FusionCharts 3.2 itself: I've noticed the tiny change of the columns bars' legend icon (good). And, the hide/show onclick selector on the legend's items. Is this feature only in the columns flash? It's present in all FusionCharts v3.2 charts. >> I've tested multi axis - the legend is like the 3.1 ones. That chart has axis enable/disable - so wouldn't sport the new legend.
  12. Also as to why logs cannot have 0 or negative, you may read
  13. In case of log 2, the minimum value is being set as 0.5 by chart, but since you've set decimals='0', it gets rounded to 1. Change decimals='0' and decimals='1' and it'll work fine.
  14. Hi, I'll try and reply to your queries. Since printing is a core Flash Player issue, there is no *direct* fix that we can offer. The direct fix will have to be offered by Adobe, from whom we've not heard despite repeated emails/forum posts. As for the indirect fixes, we have able to fix printing on Firefox, as you may see at (using a combination of FusionCharts bitmap export + JavaScript + Canvas). The same runs *very* slow and IE and freezes it. So there are only 2 possible indirect solutions for IE: - Use FusionCharts v3.2 and render charts using JavaScript renderer (and not Flash) - If you're hosted on Windows stack, use FusionCharts server-side assembly that can export charts as images. Use images to print.
