Automated Management Reporting

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Can someone point me in the right direction on how i would go about automating reporting using Fusion Charts.

We currently use the free version for our extranet application where a user needs to open a browser, navigate to the reporting GUI, select parameters and run the report to generate the charts.

Management would like automated reproting emailed to them in PDF format without the need for manual intervention.

How would I go about doing this?

Thanks,

1DMF.

Greetings, smile.gif

Please note that, in case you are willing to export the charts without rendering it in the browser, in that case, our developers have created an Server-side Image Saver Assembly that allows exporting charts as images without rendering it in the browser and works only on a .Net framework on Windows OS.

This is an internal implementation, which is not included and/or associated with the FusionCharts pack.

I am afraid, FusionCharts Free is an earlier version that neither supports the .Net Image saver assembly mentioned with respect to your 1st export related query nor support JavaScript charts.

FusionCharts XT (v3.2.2) is the upgraded version of FusionCharts v3 (Commercial version) that supports various upgraded features along with JavaScript rendering. .Net assembly works with any version since FusionCharts v3.

Please read more about FusionCharts XT (v3.2.2) here: http://www.fusioncharts.com/goodies/fusioncharts-free/compare/

You would need to download the FusionCharts XT version( Evaluation Version), to test this implementation.

Download FusionCharts XT v3.2.2 (Evaluation Version): http://www.fusioncha...ownload/trials/

You would need to drop a request for .NET based Image Saver Assembly, on [email protected]

Hope this helps. smile.gif
