Styles Does Not Work With Javascript Rendering

I need to show only left and bottom border of the canvas for column charts. To implement the same, I used canvasborderalpha="0" and used styles (shadow) in the xml. This works absolutely fine when the chart is rendered in Flash. However when the chart is rendered in javascript, style does not work and axis (left and bottom border) are not visible. 

 

Can anyone help?
