outrigger Report post Posted December 18, 2006 We have upgraded the candlestick chart. The old .swf file was part of Fusioncharts 2.3. Like many of the other .swf files, I just substituted the old file with the new file. However, with candlesticks that didn't work. I get an "invalid xml error" when attempting to use the new CandleStick.swf. I've looked at the doc. All examples for the new candlestick chart use the dataXML method. Can anyone tell me based on the output below what I am missing? I'm sure it's something small. Thanks, Aries
Pallav Report post Posted December 18, 2006 Can you please zip and upload the XML file?
outrigger Report post Posted December 19, 2006 Pallay, My appologies. I should have remembered to zip that. Attached is a zip file containing the xml code. Thank you, Aries candlestick.zip
Pallav Report post Posted December 20, 2006 Since you've special characters in your chart (like %28, %29), you'll need to use dataURL method for this XML.
outrigger Report post Posted December 20, 2006 The old candlestick chart that shipped with FC2.3 allowed these characters using the data xml method. I removed all special characters and get the "invalid XML" error wit the new candlestick chart. I don't think the special chacters are the problem. I've attached the xml without the special characters. Thank you. candlestick1.zip
Pallav Report post Posted December 20, 2006 Also, in your XML, you've a mismatching closing tag: <dataset> .... </data> <dataset> should be closed by </dataset>
