Label stacks in multi-series stacked column chart?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm currently evaluating both FusionCharts and FusionMaps. I have a problem I hope you can help with.

With the Multi-Series Stacked Column chart type (MSStackedColumn2DLineDY), is there any way to show a label for each stack?

In the example in the gallery, the stacks represent "Products" and "Services" - is there any way to display a label for each stack. See below for what I mean:

It doesn't have to be exactly like that, just something that lets the user know the meaning of the categorisation into stacks.

Thanks!

Hello,

Welcome to the FusionCharts Forum. :)

FusionCharts does not support the feature for showing individual labels in a Multi-Series stacked chart, as of now.

However, we have developed a workaround for this. You can achieve your requirement by introducing the name of the labels you want in the label attribute of the <category> element. Please use line-break character( ) to separate the individual labels and align them under the respective columns.

Please refer to the attachment.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick reply, and your suggested workaround.

This sort of works, but isn't perfect. It doesn't scale well with varying numbers series and categories and tooltips are now pretty messy.

Thanks anyway.

Hey,

I understand your difficulty in dealing with varying numbers series.

This is the workaround we could achieve, for now.

We have made a note of your suggestion for our future products upgrades. :)
