Guest Gludington Report post Posted September 20, 2010 Is there a way to put HTML (or tabular) formatted text in a mutilseries legend? In our current charting solution, our multiline charts have, in their legend, something like this (approximate table, since the forum software does not appear to allow HTML: XX____Series 1____Min: 50____Max: 75____Current: 57 XX____Series 2____Min: 40____Max: 70____Current: 43 XX____Series 3____Min: 55____Max: 75____Current: 65 Is there any way to create such a legend in fusion charts? I can create any sort of markup in the ChartXML that is required, but I have not found a combination that works. Adding {br} and the like impact the tooltips, but not the legends, and isHTML does not appear to help either.

I can create any sort of markup in the ChartXML that is required, but I have not found a combination that works. Adding {br} and the like impact the tooltips, but not the legends, and isHTML does not appear to help either. If there is no actual way to make a table, I can fake a column look using printf when I generate the chartXML. However, if the chart is wide enough, fusioncharts will place two of series on the same "row," which destroys the table effect. If there is no table like control in legends, is there at least a way to force all the series in a legend to appear a single column, rather than laid out automatically however fusion chooses? In a similar vein, is it possible to have completely different text in the legend than the series name? These sprintf-formatted seriesNames work well in the legend, but not so much in the tooltip. {br} does not work in the legend, and only adds a carriage return without affecting the overall legend. While I could perhaps use custom tool tip text instead, that would be very inefficient on large data sets. Is there a better way?
