Zoom Line Dropping Right Columns

I have a very large zoom line chart with 2 lines each having 756 points. These points run from 10/22/2007 to 10/19/2010. Trouble is, when the chart renders, it ends on the right at 10/01/2010. If I zoom in on the last few days, my scroll button shrinks up and I can scroll right to see the data but it's missing on the initial render.

 

Two attachments. The first, "initial render.jpg" shows the chart as it first appears. Note that the data stops on 10/01/2010. The second, "afterzoom.jpg" shows the chart after I zoom in and slide my slider to the right.

 

How can I make it show the last 19 days in the initial chart?

Please try specifying the value for the attributes "displayStartIndex" and "displayEndIndex" in the <chart> element for preselecting the exact range of dataplots, which are to be made visible when the chart renders.

The attribute "displayEndIndex" indicates the index of the data label that is to appear at the extreme right of the chart. Using "displayStartIndex" and "displayEndIndex" attributes you can set the range of data labels that would be visible when the chart first renders.

 

In this case if you have 756 points as mentioned in the previous post, please try setting the attribute "displayEndIndex" to '756' in the <chart> element or the last n-th point that you have.

That didn't help. Same chart (today) has 752 points. I added

"displayStartIndex='1'" +

"displayEndIndex='752'" +

 

to the page. When it first renders, my right-most point is 11/08/2010. If I zoom in (middle to far right),

I get a space on the right. When I scroll right, I come to 11/18 (last value as of today, 11/22).

Hi,

 

Please note that the ZoomLine chart has a typical functionality of skipping labels in between to show an approximate number of data on the 1st screen. The chart needs to be zoomed in, in order to see all the data-points.

 

In this case, in the 1st screen only the data upto the date 11/18 is visually displayed and the rest are skipped which would be visible when zoomed in. In order to view till 11/22 you would need to zoom into the last part.

 

I am afraid, there are no options to disable this functionality as this is an internal aspect of ZoomLine chart.
