Area Chart: Zeroplane Change And Alt Color For Negative Area Values

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

Could you please point me in the right direction. Attached is the chart we need to duplicate.

post-10510-004619800 1291757242_thumb.png

We thought we would do the following:

1) plot a bunch of yellow overlapping areas (series) with different alpha to create a darker color effect where there is more overlap,

2) plot a gray band with the "optimal" range that can be overlaid on top

3) plot line charts for the data in 1), so that they can overlay the gray band

then we are stuck and the questions are as follows:

a) How can zeroPlane be changed from 0 to 70 (in this case), so that every value below that plots as the negative value area?

b ) How can the "negative" color value be defined? In the attached sample, the positive values are red and those below 70 are red.

We have the license and the source code version. If this is not readily available, where in the source code should we make the changes for a) and :).

Thanks a bunch!

Irena

Hi Irena,

Please find my responses as below:

a) I am afraid, zero plane can not be changed as per your requirement, using FusionCharts.

b )The "negative" color feature you are looking for here, is not available in FusionCharts, at this time.

I have taken a note of your suggestions here and added the same to our wishlist.

I hope you have a great day.

Hi Angie,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I see that the standard package does not support these features. What is the best way to do a mod in the source code? Could you point me to the approximate location/source code lines in areachart2D for zeroPlane and could you suggest where we could append a color change for the below-the-zeroPlane values in the same sourcecode. I we end up doing this change, we would be happy to share it with you.

Thanks,

Irena
