FusionCharts Support replied to xiexiest's topic in FusionCharts and JSP
Hi, In case you wish to use some template place-holders like {seriesName} in the XML definition and which would in runtime be replaced by the actual values - please note that this is not supported as of now. -

Render Chart In A Different Popup Html Page
FusionCharts Support replied to Leo_T's topic in Using FusionMaps XT
Hi, The easiest way is to create an template HTML or webpage for the popup. You pass your required chart type data source and other details as querstring to the page and that page should be programmed to render chart based on the inputs. A bigger example can be found in our Management Dashboard where "More charts" links open charts in popus. Although the charts shown are a bit different, but the underlying concept remains same. -
Hover And Click Events On Whole Chart Object
FusionCharts Support replied to VangaSD's topic in Javascript Problems
Hi, The chart allows to track (through JavaScript) click on the whole chart space if you can declare clickURL attribute. This does not invoke any event. But you can call a JavaScript function through this. Example: http://docs.fusioncharts.com/charts/Code/DrillDown/ChartHotSpot.html Charts do not support mouse-hover event. However, you can bind normal JavaScript mouse-over event listener on the container HTML element of the chart to cater to your requirement. -

FusionCharts Support replied to Upendar Srirangam's topic in General usage
Hi, You can try using the LinkedCharts feature. A sample using Colum2D charts is here: http://docs.fusioncharts.com/charts/Code/JavaScript/Basics/UsingLinkedCharts/jqdialog.html To read more on this, please visit: http://docs.fusioncharts.com/charts/contents/index.html?JavaScript/JS_LinkedCharts.html -
Mscolumn3D Drill Down To Mscolumn3D
FusionCharts Support replied to TalksAllot's topic in General usage
Yes, You have declared <linkeddata> for each <set> just after respective <set>. This is not in proper format. You need to define all <linkeddata> elements as siblings as child elements of <chart> element and not <dataset> element. I have tried to modify your XML. Please check: <chart caption="Class Size Averages" formatNumberScale="0" imageSave="0" labelDisplay="ROTATE" numdivlines="9" palette="1" showBorder="0" slantLabels="1" subcaption="(Derived from Mscolumn3D Drill Down To Mscolumn3D
FusionCharts Support replied to TalksAllot's topic in General usage
Hi, Welcome to FusionCharts Forum Absolutely, you can. Actually you can drill down from any chart/map/gauge type to any chart/map/gauge type. (n to n) Just that you need to make sure you are providing correct data to the drill-ed down chart. -
How To Suppress Progress Bar When Loading Charts
FusionCharts Support replied to docbee's topic in Using FusionWidgets XT
Wonderful! That is a good trick. Just need to modify something... Now a days, using latest Flash Players (Plugins and Active X) Flash charts/gaguges do not render inside an hidden or invisible (even outside the browser's visible space) container. But, you can always render them in tiny DIVs with 2x2 px size. These DIV can be set with CSS not to overflow. Next, track the rendered event, either defining FC_Rendered function or using addEventListener to listen to "rendered" event and expand the size of these hidden DIVs. -
Javascript Chart Path And Filename On Jsf
FusionCharts Support replied to denisagui's topic in FusionCharts and JSP
Hi, A. In swfFilename="????" pass only the JavaScript chart Alias (Read more). Example swfFilename="MSColumn3D" B. these files are really needed ? is missing some ? >> Yes, these files are needed and need to be placed in a single folder. You have missed FusionCharts.HC.Charts.js However, while referring in your HTML/JSP code, you can only refer to FusionCharts.js. It will automatically load the other required files, preferably from the same folder (hence asked to keep all these files in the same folder). -
Outcnvbasefontcolor Not Working
FusionCharts Support replied to anirbansarkar's topic in FusionCharts and PHP
Hi Anirban, Please make sure you are providing the attributes in the format the FusionCharts PHP Class requires for params. It seems there is a mistake: You have used: "... ;formatNumberScale=0 outCnvBaseFontColor='750A34' "; Shouldn't it be: "... ;formatNumberScale=0;outCnvBaseFontColor=750A34"; * Please mark the semi-colon aftrer formatNumberScale=0 * Please also mark that the colors are not inside single quotes. -
Dual - Y - Axis Drill Not Working In Chrome, Safari
FusionCharts Support replied to smitab24's topic in FusionCharts and PHP
Smita, I was probing your sample and it seems that there is something in the slider library which is causing this in these browsers. If you render the chart without using the library or before the sliding occurs, you will notice that the links are working in the second chart. What I did is in the code: I have rendered both the charts in start event: start: function(slider) { window.inSlide = 'income'; drawChart( 'MSCombiDY2D', 610, 400, window.inSlide, strXML1); drawChart( 'MSCombiDY2D', 610, 400, window.inSlide+"1", strXML); }, While running in Chrome, I have inspected to the DIV with class name "income_slider" and disabled overflow: hidden; style. This makes both the chart visible. Now the links work in both the charts. -
Exporting Chart As Image, Save Button Not Enabled
FusionCharts Support replied to Ravichandran's topic in Suggestions & Requests
Hi Ravi, I guess you are rendering Flash charts. The Save button will not come if you render a JavaScript chart. Again, By any change did you mean that you can see the "Waiting" text in a button below the chart when the page loads? If so, please note that unless you initiate export from the context menu of the chart (right clicking the chart) the "waiting" text (which is actually a disabled button) will not change to "save" (with the button enabled for saving). Also, if you are initiating the export process but still not getting the "save" text, you need run the sample from a web server like IIS or Apache etc or some remote web server you have. In case you are running the sample from local file system - this may not work - you need to configure Flash Player Global Security settings and add all folders containing the SWF files as "trusted locations". Read more. P.S. The Flash Player Global Security settings is buggy for the latest native Flash Player provided by Google Chorme, and even with Flash Player Global Security settings configured, this sample will not work from local file system in Google Chrome. -
How To Populate Multiple Graphs On Same Page From Same Data Point Click?
FusionCharts Support replied to derekcaldwell's topic in XML Issue
Hi, Also, a few events are raised when LinkedCharts are created or closed. The name of the events are "BeforeLinkedItemOpen", "LinkedItemOpened", "BeforeLinkItemClose" and "LinkedItemClosed". You can listen to these events and use JavaScript to take care of your additional requirements, like creating other charts in other locations etc. For more details on how to use these events please read: http://docs.fusioncharts.com/charts/Contents/JavaScript/JS_LinkedCharts.html#events -

Can I Pass Arguments In My Datastreamurl Parameter?
FusionCharts Support replied to elambert's topic in Using FusionWidgets XT
Hi, Considering your perl script as a CGI script, please note that you can pass values to the script as a querystring, something similar to: "/perl/ops/garch/led_datafeed.pl?type=json&source=led_location_dev.json" (the querystring variable names - type, source are used to demonstrate the implementation, you can use your own variable names which your script can relate to and make use of) Please note that the dataStreamURL will ideally fetch data from a CGI script. -
How To Change X-Axis Label Orientation
FusionCharts Support replied to rokhan's topic in General usage
Hi, Welcome to FusionCharts Forum Apologies. I am afraid, we do not have any in-house support for the library in Zkoss. However, we would try our best to provide as much help as possible with respect to FusionCharts features and implementation. Note that if Zkoss is using FusionCharts FREE, labelDisplay attribute would not be supported. This attribute is supported only in FusionCharts XT. However, rotateNames is supposed to work if you are using Column, Line or Area charts. Can you please let us know the chart type that you are using. Also, please note that for each chart in FusionCharts FREE, a final XML is generated before it renders. Is there a possibility that you can also get the XML that is internally being built for the chart? -
Full Version For Zkoss 6.5
FusionCharts Support replied to Reinhard's topic in Installation and Upgrades
Hi, Welcome to FusionCharts Forum. We apologize. As of now, we do not have in-house implementation of FusionCharts in Zkoss. However, if you are interested in buying redistributable license of FusionCharts XT (commercial version) you can always use it in Zkoss. However, for that, if you are not changing the code of Zkoss, from FusionCharts implementation you need to take care of a few items. Since I am not aware of how Zkoss has implemented the API, I am suggesting here a few probable (from general FusionCharts FREE to FusionCharts XT upgrade path and generic FusionCharts implementation paths) items: Rename all the FusionCharts XT SWF files to the analogous FREE SWF file If ZKoss is using FusionCharts.js you need to replace it with the one (and add all other JavaScript files) that comes with FusionChart XT However, it would be more efficient if you can also procure the source code of Zkoss fusioncharts library and modify that to extend it to fit in the plethora of new features support by FusionCharts XT. Hope this helps. -
How To Suppress Progress Bar When Loading Charts
FusionCharts Support replied to docbee's topic in Using FusionWidgets XT
Hi, Not sure which version of FusionWidgets you were using earlier. Flash based widgets always use show pre-loading/pre-rendering progress bars while loading. Also, you can render JavaScript widgets instead of the Flash widgets to get rid of the progress bars. -
Best Approach In Accessing Xmldata Inside Fusionchart Object
FusionCharts Support replied to mie131085's topic in Javascript Problems
Hi, FusionCharts XT provides a plathora of JavaScript functions to make your life easier. For your case, you can use getXMLData() function to get the chart's XML. CODE: <script type="text/javascript"> // On javascript // accessing object var myFusionObject = FusionCharts('myFirst'); // accessing fusionchart xmldata var myXMLData = myFusionObject.getXMLData(); </script> The again, there are other ways. For more information please read: FusionCharts XT Documentation > FusionCharts and JavaScript > Getting Data back from chart [EDIT] Plus, it is not wise to use flashvars. -
Pure Javascript Export Images(Redirecting To Index.php).
FusionCharts Support replied to venkatc's topic in FusionCharts and JSP
Hi, When you export a JavaScript chart, it uses normal HTTP FORM POST method to post the SVG and other meta data of the chart to the batik server you have setup at your own location. Let me elaborate on what happens in a generic setup: This POST data is first passed to (from client side chart) index.php which in turn Asks batik rastarizer Java library to convert that to required format The Batik library while converting the SVG to required format, saves it in a temporary folder The Batik library also gives the binary of the exported file back to index.php index.php finally responses (as postback to the request send at step 1) back the binary as download to the client-side In case, you wan to stop the final step, you need do the following: Instead of calling the exportChart function, build your own function to get SVG data from chart and use AJAX (to stop postback) to pass the SVG and other meta data to the index.php Modify the index.php to save the exported file from temp to your preferred location Modify the index.php not to response back the image binary, but to respond back whatever your client-side implementation requires - like export status (success or failure) etc. -

Add "target=_Parent" To Fusionmaps Link
FusionCharts Support replied to rockiesmagicnumber's topic in Using FusionMaps XT
Hi, If your URL to open is "http://www.mydomain.com/mylink.html", can you please try once using link="F-_parent-http://www.mydomain.com/mylink.html" ? In the above format, we are asking to load the URL in a frame (using "F-" prefix) , the "parent frame". In Web Development frame based paradigm, we generally refer to "_parent" or "_top" or "_blank" as target "Frames" of links. In FusionMaps XT, this frame based targeting is handled by declaring "F-" prefix before the link URL. For more on Drill-down to frame read: http://docs.fusioncharts.com/maps/Contents/DrillDown/Frames.html -
Render Chart On Click Event?
FusionCharts Support replied to fractalbit's topic in FusionCharts and PHP
Hi, Since you want this do be done at client-side (when tab is clicked), it would be better to use only JavaScript code to render the chart. For more on how to render a chart using only JavaScript, read: http://docs.fusioncharts.com/charts/contents/FirstChart/FirstChart.html However, even at this stage you can make the chart load data from a php file, using Data URL method - to be precise. As a modification of the above mentioned code, you just need to change the path of the XML from static Data.xml file to a dynamic PHP file. Your PHP file should be able to generate and response back only the XML/JSON data for the chart. You need to just pass the URL of the PHP data provider page to the chart and the chart will automatically load the data internally using AJAX. -
Hi Valeriy, I am just revisiting with an existing work-around, since you are using MSCOmbiDY2D chart. The work around is stated below: 1. For each area, create a line dataset and an area dataset with same values 2. Disable the plotBorder (plotBorderAlpha='0') of the area and do not use any anchor related setting for the area. - so that the area is drawn without anchors and borders 3. For the line dataset set all anchor related attributes like anchor colors, use the plotBorderColor of the area to set the color of the line Here is your XML that I modified: <chart showValues='0' numVisiblePlot="31" lineThickness='5' divLineAlpha='0' divLineThickness='0' divLineIsDashed='1' divLineDashLen='0' divLineDashGap='0' alternateHGridColor='000000' canvasBorderAlpha="0"> <categories> <category name='1' /> <category name='2' /> <category name='3' /> <category name='4' /> <category name='5' /> <category name='6' /> <category name='7' /> <category name='8' /> <category name='9' /> </categories> <dataset seriesName="October" renderAs="Area" plotBorderAlpha='0'> <set value="270.85"/> <set value="350.41"/> <set value="4059.41"/> <set value="1279.61"/> <set value="277.13"/> <set value="0"/> <set value="4099.13"/> <set value="0"/> <set value="684.51"/> <set value="1758.45"/> </dataset> <dataset renderAs="line" anchorRadius="4" lineThickness="3" anchorBgColor="0099cc" color="0099cc" plotBorderThickness="3" > <set value="270.85"/> <set value="350.41"/> <set value="4059.41"/> <set value="1279.61"/> <set value="277.13"/> <set value="0"/> <set value="4099.13"/> <set value="0"/> <set value="684.51"/> <set value="1758.45"/> </dataset> </chart>
