  1. Error Logs

Will there be a way to limit what is written to the ULS and SharePoint list error logs? We have hundreds of charts across lots of different pages in a manufacturing environment to create Kiosk views of our data. Due to the way manufacturing is there are frequent occurrences of zero data returned to a chart - this is NOT an error, it is a known event and when tracking rejected materials that actually is a good thing. The issue is that Collabion is flagging all zero data return events as an error into both the ULS and SharePoint error list. This is causing us great stress especially in the SharePoint list where that is growing at a rate of thousands of entries per week. Is anyone else seeing a similar issue and what are you doing to get ahead of this? I would love for a way to limit what Collabion is writing out in the error logs but short of this any other suggestions? Clearing out a list that has several hundred thousand entries is painful and the lists are growing at a exponential rate. Thanks, Andy
  2. Collabion Upgrade

All I see on the website is the registration for the trial edition. Do I register again and download the trial? If so, will my license stay and not be changed to the trial edition - we have had issues in the past with the conversion to the licensed edition and I need to be sure that I do this correctly. Thank You, Andy
  3. There have been some references to a new version of Collabion charts (v1.1). We are under maintenance and have not received any notice about the upgraded version or instructions on how to upgrade. Can you confirm the upgrade and how do we download and apply this update? I am hopeful that it will solve a few of the nagging issues with have with Collabion charts. Thank you, Andrew Bradley
  4. Yes - the new updated version has corrected the issue with the security rights. Thank You, Andy
  5. Attached is the error that the Log is showing: "Chart settings could not be retrieved. Please check your connection settings and try again." I have done some more testing and found that if I am logged into SharePoint as a user who is the Site Administrator all the charts display properly. If the user is any other security context the charts that pull from SharePoint lists do not display - they show "Invalid Data". Looking at the ULS I find the following entry at the same timestamp : Name=Request (GET:https://portal.reawire.com:443/sites/lafayette/operations/_layouts/CollabionCharts/WebService.aspx?GetChartXml=g_fc66fdb2_8e1c_4da8_931c_6dad07ae9394) Detected use of SPRequest for previously closed SPWeb object. I have lots of carts created in the Beta product that are now not working. If we create new charts they also do not work with the same errors.
  6. Hello, I purchased the final release of Collabion Charts this week and upgraded our existing production server from the Beta release to the new v1.0 release and activated the product. Now we are having a problem. On charts that pull data from SharePoint lists/views we can no longer view the data when users only have "Read" permissions on the site. On our site we have a permissions group that has "Read" permissions on the site and our domain users are in this group. When one of them views the site the chart shows "No Data to display", then you can select SignIn as Different User from the SharePoint menu and sign in as a user with Member/Owner rights to the site and the page will properly display the data in the graph. Then login as the read only user and the data does not appear in any chart. This is only affecting SharePoint list charts, there is a chart that pulls data from a SQL server and it displays properly. Any idea as to what may be happening with this installation? I really need to get this back up and running ASAP. Thanks, Andy Bradley [email protected]
  7. 2D Multi-Series Y Axis Chart Not Working

This is the workaround that we have adopted - the problem is that the goal line does not appear on the 3D charts (as I posted about). Will this 2D chart be corrected in the release version? Thanks, Andy
  8. In the Stacked Column 3D chart I configured the goal line. Problem is that the goal line appears behind the 3D columns and is not visible at all except at the end of the chart where there are no columns. Any way to make the goal line appear in the 3D charts? Thanks, Andy
  9. We have been looking at the difference between the Stacked Column 3D + Line Dual Y and the Multi-Series Stacked Column 2D + Line Dual Y. On the 2D Multi-Series I can not figure out how to get some of the data series to display as a line and the second Y axis option is greyed out on all axis selections. Is there a known issue with the 2D Multi-Series chart or another way to get the data to properly display? Thanks, Andy
  10. Is there a way to limit the charting in a Pareto Chart? What we are looking for is to limit the chart output to a certain number of entries - that is like a Top 10 or Top 20 chart of the Pareto results. We have several large data sets that we are charting Pareto on with the newest Beta and it looks great - but our data has a lot of entries with low counts so the ability to limit the charting to only a certain number of results would be excellent and I have seen this in a compeditive product. The existing filters only appear to work on the raw data and since Pareto data is dynamic there is no way to know exactly what results will be at the top of the charts until the sums have been calculated. Or is there another way to do this in the product? So far we have had good success with the Beta and look forward to a final release. A. Bradley
