Canvas Module Fallback For Android V2.2 And V2.3

Canvas Module Fallback was created as a workaround to render JavaScript Charts on Android versions 2.2 & 2.3. The package was created using the JavaScript files from FusionCharts v3.2.1.

 

With the release of the FusionCharts XT version in September 2011,Canvas Module Fallback support has been deprecated.

 

The Native browser in Android versions 2.2 & 2.3 uses "Canvas" as a drawing technology whereas FusionCharts XT uses SVG to render our JavaScript charts. Hence JavaScript charts will not work in Android versions 2.2 & 2.3, however, the Flash charts will continue to work in these versions as well provided the devices have native Flashplayer support.

 

FusionCharts XT is based on a completely new JavaScript class and has the support for automatic fallback to JavaScript rendering for devices which don't support Flash. However as mentioned above the JavaScript rendering will only work for Android versions 3.0 and above.
