Sir P Report post Posted February 22, 2008 Hello, Is it possible to stack areas but also have a line plot over the top, if so which .swf file is needed? Many thanks
Pallav Report post Posted February 28, 2008 I'm afraid you cannot have stacked areas + line. Only stacked column + line is possible.

andre steenbergen Report post Posted July 14, 2009 Will this ever be possible?
Guest Rajroop Report post Posted July 14, 2009 Hello Andre, There are no possible compromises that can be made regarding this feature upgrade, as of now. There might be a workaround for this, though! Let me try and explain with a hypothetical example of what I'm talking about: 1. We can have three data plots using the stacked area swf. 2. One of the three data series can be used to depict a line by setting alpha='.01' for that data series alone. 3. This renders the data plot of that particular data series as white, as in disables the color, except the line of the area plot on top.(Ref: See Attachment) 4. The rest of the visual can be manipulated by changing the XML to make this area look like a line. The color of the area data plot stacked on top of this 'line', can be matched with the one below it and so on to make the bottom area seem like a line. Just a random thought. Hope it helps someone.
