How to make a fly-in animation for pie chart slices?

Recommended Posts

Hi - is there any predefined animation type that would create a "fly-in" effect for the slices of a 3D pie chart? In other words I'd like the slices to start from the sides and then all move in to make their points meet in the center ("fly into place"). I have seen this with other chart products and want to use that with Fusion Charts - just not sure how to do this.

Is there a standard animation type I can apply to a pie chart to do this? And if not, how can I achieve this by defining an animation?

Also I wasn't apply to apply the information from the manual about animation to get any type of animation working on the slices in the 3D pie chart (and I do have animation="1" set). Apparently 2D has a default rotation for animation, but I am looking to do effects on 3D pies.

Any code snippets that demonstrate this or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,
Iam afraid, it is not possible as of now.

Thank you for the response. Do I understand correct then that in addition to no fly-in animiation, there are no animations possible with the slices in a 3D pie chart? Am I correct to understand that?

If that is the case, I kindly ask that you consider adding these feature in the next release. I was evaluating a competitor's Flash charting option and they have very nice fly-in and other animations available for the 3D pie chart and would very much like the same ability in FusionCharts. Please let me know if you would like more information.

Hi,

In our pie/doughnut and true-3d chart, we do not support custom animations. For other charts, we support custom animations based on STYLEs feature. However, we'll definitely try and implement this in our future versions.
