You can add a hidden text element containing description of the chart below the chart from which the reader can read out.

Unfortunately this solution doesn't meet 508 standards for accessibility as the alternative text doesn't sit inside the <object> tag, so there is no way to know that it is associated with the chart. Will there be any updates to improves accessibility or allow text to be added between the <object> tags so that fusioncharts will be able to pass 508 testing?
