Multi-series Bar Chart - hide empty / zero values

Is there a way to hide a zero value bar in a multi-series bar graph? If I have the set definition as <set /> then no bar is displayed, but there is still a gap on the graph where the bar would be displayed.

I am afraid that is not possible. The chart does not manipulate the data that is fed to it. It just displays what it gets.
