steve Report post Posted January 23, 2007 Hi, I'm trying to manipulate the layout of the legend, as I have long legend category descriptions. I'd like to insert after each legend entry, as can be done for tooltips, datalabels. However, this doesn't seem to work. Is there some way to have more control over the layout (alignment, line breaks, etc) of the legend ? I'm using 'dataURL'. Chart is a multiseries stacked chart. kind regards, Steve

Pallav Report post Posted January 23, 2007 Steve, I'm afraid you cannot add line breaks in the legend. You can just control it's font and effect (shadow, bevel, glow etc.) properties.
steve Report post Posted January 25, 2007 Any plans to add more control to the legend in the near future ? I find the layout of the legend as it is now rather cluttered, especially when you're tracking many different items, it would be nicer if the legend could be layed out in a tabular way... it's the only thing that bothers me in this otherwise great tool kind regards, Steve
Pallav Report post Posted January 25, 2007 Can you please send us one such XML, where the legend is getting cluttered?
steve Report post Posted January 29, 2007 I've sent you a sample xml. Was this helpful ? kind regards, Steve.
Pallav Report post Posted January 30, 2007 Yes Steve - we did receive the XML and tested it. Since the series names are pretty long in your example, we
jhardman Report post Posted April 4, 2007 I'm with Steve on this one. My legend names are pretty long, and look terrible by default. What would be nice is a control for legendJustification (left | center | right | full), then I could specify how I wanted each seriesName to layout in the legend. jrfernandes Report post Posted August 25, 2007 I'm having the same problem too. I really like your component: it's simple to use and has a great visual appearence, but the legends don't look very good Fernandes
Pallav Report post Posted August 26, 2007 Hi, We'll try and improve the legend in our future releases.
lloyd Report post Posted October 10, 2007 Thanks for committing to this enhancement. More control over layout within the legend, especially the "bottom" positioned legends, would be most appreciated. I would also like to have control over the size of the block character, to make it a wider rectangle for example.
remi Report post Posted October 12, 2007 Hi! I want to display the legend on xaxis verticaly, how can I do this?
lmp.mike Report post Posted October 24, 2007 It might also be nice in some instances to be able to add a block border.
Pallav Report post Posted October 30, 2007 Hi, By block border, do you mean a border around the entire legend?
Kennedyc Report post Posted December 4, 2007 And a way to remove the block colour in the legend too please! Would be handy for a project i'm doing, although i'm using the SSgrid to do that with the block white.
