Can I Save Output from getXML method?

Hi

 

As part of the project i am working on, the need to create and run test on the application includes checks to see that the data output to the fusion chart contains the correct settings and data. I have seen the code to register the javascript, and then use the getXML method to create the Xml, but need to be able to save this string to a file.

 

Has anyone done this, or is there a better way to achieve this?
