wangyi Report post Posted August 4, 2010 Hi, we are using the new print feature of FusionCharts, which means we print the chart through clicking the "Print Chart" item in context menu, but the print output is different as it's displayed, some of differences are already very serious: 1. The background color is much darker, which makes the text hard to see. This can also reproduced with your example at: http://www.fusioncharts.com/labs/peek/managed-print/. 2. The font size is enlarged, (seems like the printed font is more bolder), and hence takes more place. If a legend text is relatively long (more than 10 chars), it will be truncated in the print output. 3. The outline of the chart graphics are blurred. Pallav Report post Posted August 4, 2010 Hi, What browser and OS were you using? Also, can you send us a PDF output of the print?
wangyi Report post Posted August 4, 2010 I'm using firefox 3.6.8, and the issue can be reproduced both with Windows XP and Vista. Attached Example.pdf, which is created by click "Print Chart" context menu with the example at http://www.fusioncharts.com/labs/peek/managed-print/. We can see all the three problems I mentioned above. Example.pdf
wangyi Report post Posted August 4, 2010 Attached "2010-08-05 100155.png", the screen shot of my example. Attached "Flash.pdf", the print output of my example. In this case, the background color is OK, but the graphic outlines are blurred (which gives the user an impression of low graphic quality), and the font size is enlarged. We can see the legend text is truncated. Flash.pdf
Pallav Report post Posted August 6, 2010 Hi, When you use the Print Chart option from context menu, the native Flash Player printing crops up. For the managed printing to kick in, please click the Print Chart button below the chart.
