Hasrendered() And Xportchart() Methods Don't Exist When Viewing In Ie8

First time forum poster here.

 

I know this topic has come up numerous times on this forum, but I have yet to come across a definitive solution that works in my situation.

 

Both the hasRendered() and exportChart() functions are recognized and successfully called when viewing a web page with Google Chrome and FireFox, but not when viewing the page with Internet Explorer, I receive

the dreaded "Object doesn't support this property or method" javascript error.

 

This may be related to the problem:

 

On September 18 2010, the company I'm consulting with purchased what they thought was the current version of Fusion charts from a 3rd party vendor. It turns out the version they purchased was v3.1. The version history page on the fusion charts site

indicates that there has since been a versions 3.11 and 3.2.

 

version 3.1 lists the following bug fix:

Fix: Minor bug fix in FusionCharts Export Component SWF and JavaScript class.

Would an upgrade to 3.2 correct this problem?
