lmp.mike Report post Posted October 23, 2007 Hi, I'm new to fusionCharts, this is my first post and first time using the product. Right now in the gallery folder there are several .swfs used for to generate the xml-driven graphs. I wondered if I purchased the enterprise edition with the original .fla source files if I could strip unnecessary code or objects down to export a smaller sized .swf. If not, is there any other way that I could feasibly reduce the .swf file size? It would be nice to have a couple lightweight charts in some instances for our app. Thanks in advance, Mike Lead Media Partners
lmp.mike Report post Posted October 24, 2007 As a follow-up, I received an email from FusionCharts this morning saying one way to reduce file size would be to remove the embedded font. This would, however, make rotating text labels impossible. But in cases where doing that isn't required, this would be a very good solution. I wonder though, how much it would actually reduce file size. Any guesses?
