Getting The Chart Data

Hi,

 

 

We are using fusion charts 1.2.3 - paid version in our rails application. But using this, how to get the data used for generating the charts .

Thanks for your reply.

 

How to get the data from the generated chart. As per the examples, they are using getXMLData, getChartData functions.

Is it available in version 1.2?

 

If it is not available, how to update to the recent version.

 

 

And also,

 

I am trying with the V-3 free version on my local machine, but its not working. Its throwing error: getXMLData is not a function

 

In the view I am using:

<% render_chart_html "/FusionCharts/MSLine.swf", '', str_xml,"myChart1#{params[:tab_id]}", 800, 400, false do-%>

 

In JS function - getData

 

var chartReference = FusionCharts(chart_id);

var chartXML = chartReference.getXMLData();

alert(chartXML);

 

But its not working. please let me know where I am missing.

You would need to upgrade to latest version of FusionCharts i.e v3.2
