arik Report post Posted August 3, 2008 I have Flex application which displays embed Fusion Charts . I'm using QTP (Mercury client) for automation testing, I was trying to record some of the charts' actions (e.g. clickable bars) after following Adobe instructions but with no success. Did one of you has done it before? Thank you, Arik
arik Report post Posted August 4, 2008 I can see there's no reply. F.Y.I As a workaround I'm using 'Low Level Recording', it's kind of a solution with limitation because it relies on the x,y of the chart but it's the only thing I've got.

Sanket N Report post Posted February 19, 2009 Hi Arik, It might be in your interest to know that FusionCharts for Flex v1 has been released (http://www.fusioncharts.com/flex). It now offers 45 chart types in both 2D & 3D including the newly added Scatter & Bubble chart. In addition to the general charts comprising of single-series, multi-series, stacked and combination charts, it also offers unique charts like scroll charts, true 3D chart and funnel & pyramid charts. Also, the drag & drop support in Flex Builder IDE has been improved and now you can see a chart in action by just dragging it from the toolbar to your project. mnezh Report post Posted December 7, 2009 arik, Have you found any reasonable way for charts test automation in QTP? I've tried different versions of Flash plugin for IE and Adobe's Flex plugin for QTP, but never succeed: charts are recognized as MacromediaFlashPlayerActiveX without any identifiable children. PWPowell Report post Posted June 24, 2010 QTP supports VBScript Descriptive Programming. Is there a way to get a hold of the Chart object in memory and use some of its methods?
